Overview
A facelift repositions the deeper layers of the face and neck rather than simply pulling the skin tight. Dr. Menon uses a deep-plane technique that aims for a natural look and a result that ages gracefully. A neck lift can be performed alone or together with a facelift.
Who it suits
You may be a good candidate if you notice loosening along the jawline, jowls, or bands in the neck, you are in generally good health, you do not smoke, and you have realistic expectations about what surgery can do.
Recovery timeline
Week 1
Rest at home with your head raised. Swelling and bruising are expected. Dressings are removed at your day-one visit.
Weeks 2 to 4
Stitches are removed. Most patients return to desk work and light activity. Bruising fades through this period.
Weeks 4 to 8
Exercise is reintroduced in stages. Swelling continues to settle and the contour becomes clearer.
Month 3 and beyond
Final healing is gradual. We see you at three and six months to review your result.
