Overview
A breast lift raises the breast and repositions the nipple to a more youthful height, removing excess skin and reshaping the tissue. It can be combined with an implant if you also want more volume.
Who it suits
Suitable for adults who have drooping breasts after pregnancy, weight change or ageing, who are in good health and have realistic goals.
Recovery timeline
Week 1
You will wear a support garment. Expect swelling and soreness, with gentle movement encouraged.
Weeks 2 to 4
Dressings and stitches are managed at your visits. Many patients return to desk work.
Weeks 4 to 8
Gradual return to exercise. Swelling reduces and the new shape becomes clearer.
Month 3 and beyond
Scars mature over many months. Final shape is assessed at three and six months.
